Dr. Tseng has a longtime interest on the tumor vascular response to photodynamic therapy.  In collaboration with Dr. Victor Fingar they are examining the impact of multiple photosensitizer on the blood flow and tumor cell survival in a skin flap model. In the recent years, Dr. Tseng has also developed a strong interest in the neuronal responses to cerebral ischemia.  The primary model for the laboratory has been a cardiac arrest induced transient global ischemia in rat.  Besides using the model for putative neuroprotectant screening, his laboratory is interested in the issues related to the neuroimmunology and age related cerebral vulnerability.
